NEW DELHI -- Iran strongly reacted to the "hostile" statements of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon during his truncated visit to India, saying the destructive and fascist thinking of Sharon posed the biggest-ever threat to peace in West Asia, an Indian daily reported on Friday.

Terming Sharon as the "killer of the Middle East road map, the Iranian Embassy here said in a statement till such a thinking is dominant and the Israeli regime is not prevented from committing crimes, establishment of peace in the region and in the world is nothing more than a dream.

It said Israel possessed hundreds of nuclear warheads and an arsenal of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). It (Israel) does not take part in international agreements controlling WMDs, which is the most manifest example of insult to the world community and global peace and security.
